Matt Holmes, CPA, CA, is the co-founder of Holmes Riseley CPAs and Tax Advisors, created with a mission to bring his specialized tax expertise to local clients in central Ontario.

With more than 25 years of experience in tax planning, tax reporting, and business planning, Matt is relied upon by his clients for his trustworthy advice when making changes to business structures and expert tax knowledge. He frequently works with businesses on family succession, business continuity, mergers and acquisitions, and other tax-saving strategies.

With over two decades of experience, his ability to provide forward-thinking advice has saved his clients hundreds of millions in tax dollars and has earned him a reputation as one of the province’s top tax planning experts.

Prior to founding his firm, Matt worked as a partner at a national accounting firm Peterborough.
